 The 4-5 class is studying steelhead, salmon, watersheds and healthy/ unhealthy stream ecosystems. Ms. Isabel recently participated in a "Trout in the Classroom Teacher Training." This training was required in order to be approved for a Fish and Wildlife permit to get steelhead eggs to hatch in her classroom. The steelhead eggs are hatching and are in the alevin stage. Students will release the fish on May 18 at the Warm Springs fish hatchery into the Russian River watershed.
