 | Our annual tradition of participating in California Coastal Cleanup Day continued last month. This was a chance for community service and also an opportunity to contribute to citizen science. Data from cleanup days is shared locally with Mendocino Land Trust who then reports the countywide numbers back to the Coastal Commission. On Friday, September 22, our K-12 students collected over 35 pounds of trash and 10 pounds of recycling, including a lot of micro-trash, from Moat Creek, Schooner Gulch, City Park, and Port Road.
